Two events on school inclusion in Berlin

Berlin - Comites and Artemisia e.V., in collaboration with Herman-Nohl-Schule, will host two events focused on school inclusion. The first event, a seminar titled “Building School Inclusion: Challenges, Benefits, and Concrete Actions”, will take place on January 24 starting at 2:00 PM. It will be led by Dario Ianes, a professor of pedagogy and inclusive teaching at the Free University of Bolzano (Primary Education Program), and Benedetta Zagni, a developmental and educational psychologist.

The seminar is aimed at teachers, educators, and parents, addressing the importance of creating an inclusive school system. The diverse and heterogeneous nature of classrooms today calls for a comprehensive inclusive approach that extends beyond students with disabilities.

On January 25, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the two experts will lead a workshop exclusively for teachers and educators. This session will provide practical strategies and tools to foster inclusive teaching practices. Specific topics will include cooperative learning, simplifying and adapting materials, and designing inclusive lesson plans to bridge the gap between students with disabilities and their classmates.
