University of Padua dominates in environmental sustainability in QS Ranking

New Haven – The international ranking agency QS has published the results of the third edition of the QS Sustainability Ranking, the latest addition to the Quacquarelli & Simmonds ranking family.

The University of Padua has secured the top position among Italian universities, ranking 53rd in Europe and 110th worldwide, out of a total of 1,751 institutions evaluated globally. The assessment was conducted by QS in collaboration with Elsevier, Yale University, and the Academic Freedom Index, using data from universities previously analyzed in the QS World University Rankings (WUR) and further selecting them based on their sustainability policies related to sustainable development.

The evaluation considered three areas: social (45% weight), environmental (45%), and governance (10%). In addition to its strong overall performance, the University of Padua excelled in the environmental category, particularly in the indicators of Environmental Research, Environmental Sustainability, and Health & Wellbeing.
