Italy-Serbia: growing trade relations. Tajani on a mission to Belgrade

Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani is in Belgrade today to attend the Italy-Serbia Business Forum. As part of the mission, institutional meetings are scheduled with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric. The forum is part of Italy’s growth diplomacy strategy and brings together over 400 Italian and Serbian companies, reflecting the growing interest in strengthening ties between the Italian and Serbian markets, fostering closer business relations, and creating new investment opportunities. During institutional meetings, Tajani will also address the issue of completing the path to reunite the Balkans with Europe, a strategic priority not only for Italy but also for the European Union. To accelerate the region's European integration process, Tajani will chair a meeting in Rome on February 10 with the foreign ministers of the Western Balkans, the Friends of the Balkans group, High Representative Kallas, and EU Commissioner for Enlargement Kos. This marks Tajani's third mission to Serbia, following his visits in November 2022, shortly after taking office, and November 2023.
