The 2025 season kicks off for the Italian Men’s Artistic Gymnastics team with the opening of the Individual Apparatus World Cup circuit. The first event will take place in Cottbus, Germany, from February 20 to 23. Germany will also host the 11th European Championships in Leipzig from May 26 to 31.
For this debut competition, the national team director for men's artistic gymnastics (GAM), Giuseppe Cocciaro, has selected four Italian gymnasts: Lorenzo Bonicelli (Ghislanzoni GAL), Edoardo De Rosa (Ginnastica Gioy), Stefano Patron (Spes Mestre), and Nicolò Vannucchi (Gymnastic Romagna Team).
The athletes will be accompanied by coaches Gianmatteo Centazzo and Roberto Germani, along with judge Diego Lazzarich. The Italian delegation will depart for Germany on Tuesday, with competitions set to begin on Thursday, February 20, at the Lausitz Arena in Cottbus. Qualifications will continue on Friday, February 21, while the entire weekend will be dedicated to the apparatus finals, scheduled for Saturday, February 22, and Sunday, February 23.
