Art, cinema, and philosophy: inside Fondazione Prada

This is the title of the conference organized in Haifa, Israel, by the local Italian Cultural Institute in collaboration with Tal Lanir, an interdisciplinary art curator at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, who will present the event. This marks the fifth installment of the series Beyond Italian Art, which explores how Italian art interacts and intertwines with other worlds in different ways each time.

The conference will take place online on March 4 at 6:00 PM local time and will be accessible via registration or on YouTube.

Founded in 1993 by Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli, Fondazione Prada is a major institution dedicated to contemporary art and culture. Located in Milan (and in Venice during the Biennale), the foundation operates in a former distillery that has been transformed into a unique exhibition space, hosting a wide range of shows featuring both established and emerging contemporary artists.

Its mission extends beyond traditional art presentation, incorporating cinema, architecture, and philosophy into its programs to push the boundaries of the art world. The conference will explore the foundation’s history and the artistic movements it has influenced.
