ITA Airways and Iryo partner for seamless “Train + Flight” travel between Italy and Spain

Iryo, the high-speed rail operator in Spain partially owned by Trenitalia (FS Group), and ITA Airways, Italy’s flagship airline, have signed an agreement to offer integrated “train + flight” travel between Spain and Italy.

Thanks to this partnership, passengers will have access to a new range of combined journeys with a single booking. ITA Airways customers will be able to easily reach destinations such as Córdoba, Valencia, Alicante, Seville, and Málaga—currently not directly served by ITA Airways flights—via Frecciarossa. Meanwhile, Iryo passengers will have access to over 20 airports in Italy, including Rome, Milan, Venice, Florence, and Naples.

With the combined ticket, travelers flying with ITA Airways and taking Iryo trains will enjoy the services and benefits of both companies. The ITA Airways Customer Information Assistance Office and Iryo staff, where present in stations, will assist passengers as needed.

From Madrid and Barcelona airports, high-speed rail connections will provide seamless access to many Spanish destinations. Local rail transfers are already included in the booking, so no additional transfer costs will be required.
