Gozo – As part of the Gaulitana: Festival of Music, Verdi’s timeless Nabucco will be staged in Malta. This opera, recognized by Verdi himself as “the true beginning of my artistic career,” cemented his reputation as a composer. After a 10-year absence, opera lovers are invited to immerse themselves in a dramatic journey filled with grand choruses and beautiful melodies, interwoven with political and religious undertones, immortalized in the famous aria “Va’, pensiero.” This production features an international cast, with the Gaulitanus Choir and the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Colin Attard. Nabucco will be performed on Saturday, May 3rd at the Teatru tal-Opra Aurora, concluding the 18th edition of the festival, which features a diverse program of events across Gozo. (9colonne)
