Berlin – The best campsite in Europe? It’s in Italy — more precisely, in the Veneto region — according to Caravaning, a leading German magazine. Topping the list is the five-star International Club Camping in Jesolo, operated by Jesolo Turismo Spa.

Among more than 25,000 European campsites, the ranking focused on 200 top-rated facilities awarded the “Superplatz 2025” seal. This distinction is granted annually based on the strict assessments of ADAC inspectors (Germany’s national automobile club), who evaluate campsites according to hundreds of criteria.

“This award not only certifies the excellence of open-air hospitality in our region,” said Federico Caner, Veneto’s Regional Minister for Tourism, “but also highlights the innovative efforts of the Jesolo campsite in environmental sustainability and CO2 emission reduction.”

The Caravaning ranking is unique in that it considers both expert evaluations and guest reviews. Italy boasts 40 award-winning sites, with the Veneto coast leading the way — a source of great pride for the region.
