Erbil – A food and essential goods donation was recently carried out for the most vulnerable residents of Bnaslawa, an area near Erbil that hosts one of the training zones for the Italian contingent.
The initiative, part of Operation Prima Parthica and coordinated by the Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) team, involved the distribution of 260 food kits. Each package included basic items such as oil, rice, legumes, flour and local dried fruit, and aimed to assist families at the close of Ramadan and the traditional fasting period.
This activity is part of a broader set of community support projects launched by the CIMIC team in collaboration with local authorities. These efforts are funded by private donors as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations, with the overarching goal of meeting community needs while supporting the mission’s objectives.
Operation Prima Parthica focuses on strengthening the operational and training capacities of Kurdish security forces to ensure their independence in the fight against Daesh. At the same time, it supports local institutions in fostering socio-economic development through various civil-military cooperation initiatives.
