Vancouver – Italy’s foil teams continue to shine on the global stage. After securing three individual podium finishes, the national teams delivered strong performances in the team events at the World Cup in Vancouver, Canada. The women’s team—Arianna Errigo, Martina Favaretto, Anna Cristino, and Elena Tangherlini—defeated Chile (45-22), Hungary (45-27), France (45-32), and the United States (45-42) to win their fourth consecutive title. The men’s team also performed well: Guillaume Bianchi, Alessio Foconi, Tommaso Marini, and Davide Filippi beat Spain (45-15), Hong Kong (45-32), and France (45-29), before losing the final to the United States 43-41, earning a second-place finish.
