Dubai – At the fourth edition of the World Police Summit in Dubai, Italy’s State Police received a major international award for its commitment to youth education and digital awareness. The event, one of the world’s leading forums on public security, brought together police forces, experts, institutions, and tech companies to address issues such as transnational crime, innovation in policing, and global cooperation.

Italy’s Postal Police was awarded first prize in the “Excellence in Customer Service in Policing” category for the project On the Hacker’s Trail, a children’s book developed in collaboration with the Geronimo Stilton Foundation and Google. Featuring the popular mouse-journalist character, the book guides young readers and their families through the digital world, aiming to introduce the basics of online safety in an engaging and accessible way.

The award recognises the State Police’s dedication to raising awareness among young people and highlights the importance of public-private partnerships in creating effective and targeted prevention campaigns.
