Hamburg – On Tuesday 3 February at 7:00 p.m., the Italian Cultural Institute in Hamburg will host a new edition of its Caffè Letterario series, dedicated to Italian literature enthusiasts.
The Caffè Letterario meetings are held in Italian and German - generally once a month - and offer participants the opportunity to discuss Italian books, exchange views, find new inspiration and jointly select future readings. Participation is free of charge, though registration via Eventbrite is required.
The upcoming event will focus on La ricreazione è finita, the novel by Dario Ferrari published by Einaudi. With irony and insight, Ferrari recounts the experience of a young academic embarking on a research career, offering a portrait of today’s thirty-something generation caught between disillusionment, unmet expectations and a reality that falls short of youthful dreams. The novel delivers a sharp and unsentimental reflection on adulthood, contemporary contradictions and the existential fractures of modern life.
