Brussels – A theatrical performance designed for a broad, intergenerational audience will take the stage at the Italian Cultural Institute in Brussels on February 10 at 7:00 pm. “The Snow Queen”, written, directed and performed by Silvia Priori and Roberto Gerboles, is organized by the Institute in collaboration with Teatro Blu.
Through words, images and movement, the show retraces the challenges, sacrifices and victories hidden behind every medal, turning athletes’ stories into powerful life metaphors. Created in celebration of the Milano–Cortina Winter Olympics, the performance places Italian alpine skiing at its core, with a special focus on Deborah Compagnoni, a symbol of determination, elegance and resilience.
The mountains become a symbolic backdrop for a journey marked by growth, falls and rebirth, where sport conveys universal values such as commitment, respect, courage, teamwork and perseverance. The Snow Queen is more than a sports narrative: it is a tribute to mountain culture, alpine communities and the enduring spirit of those who face daily challenges with passion and dedication, celebrating sport as a path to growth, discovery and freedom.
