Guatemala City – During the Spring Equinox Festival, the Italian Cultural Institute of Guatemala, in collaboration with ACOFOP, is hosting an event in a truly magical setting. On March 20 at 5:00 PM, the Uaxactún archaeological site will welcome a concert by musician and composer Antonio Onorato. Across nearly 40 albums, Onorato has blended the harmonic and melodic elements of the Neapolitan tradition with jazz-rock, fusing them with Afro-American, Middle Eastern, and Brazilian music to create an original and constantly evolving style. He is the only musician in the world to play the “breath guitar,” a revolutionary and futuristic instrument. Onorato has performed at prestigious festivals and theaters worldwide, including the Blue Note in New York, and has collaborated with artists such as Pino Daniele, Franco Cerri, Toninho Horta, Gerald Cannon, and Enrico Rava, among others.
