Gavião – The Italian Cultural Institute of Lisbon will present a concert by the Duo Baldo-Consonni as part of the 22nd edition of the Terras sem Sombra Festival.
Entitled “From Romanticism to the Heart of Modernity: Essences and Ruptures,” the performance will take place on 27 June at 9:30 p.m. in the Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora das Neves in Belver, Gavião.
The ensemble, formed by cellist Lorenza Baldo and pianist Martina Consonni, was established in 2019 at the International Piano Academy “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola. Having studied under renowned teachers Franco Scala’s successors, including masters Enrico Pace and Marco Bronzi, the two musicians joined forces to create a versatile chamber music ensemble dedicated to exploring both classical and contemporary repertoire.
The concert programme will feature works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Robert Schumann, Igor Stravinsky, and Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, offering audiences a musical journey that bridges the Romantic tradition and the innovations of modernity.
