Feb. 27 - An Italian award to celebrate Italian cinema overseas: the Excellence Award was designed by Gianni Bulgari, former president, CEO and creative director of Bulgari, now owner of the brand Gb Enigma. The precious award, given to the true ambassadors of Italian cinema around the world, will be handed out during the 9th edition of the Los Angeles Italian Film, Fashion and Art Fest, an international festival representing an important artistic and cultural bridge between the Italian and the American film industries. The Fest will take place at the Tcl Chinese Theatre, bringing together actors and directors of international fame, including Servillo and Paolo Sorrentino, for whom there is a special tribute planned for their Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Film. The Excellence Awards will also go to actress Valeria Golino, the Italian-American director David O. Russell, the genius behind American Hustle, and singer-songwriter Francesco De Gregori.
