PISA: THE ALABASTER TOWER FLIES TO TOKYO

Tokyo - 3 meters high, nearly one tonne of alabaster and 25,000 pieces: the details of the copy famous Cathedral Tower of Pisa which will be on display until August 10 at the Hall of the Balearic Islands at Palazzo Gambacorti in Pisa. The most significant development during the inauguration was the launch of the project to take the Alabaster Tower to Tokyo this autumn. The work has already been ambassador of Pisa and Tuscany in Moscow and San Francisco. Its stay in Japan is part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of the friendship treaty between Italy and Japan of 1866. (9Colonne)
