Tesmec SpA spearheads a leading group in the market of infrastructures related to the transportation and distribution of electricity, data and materials. It was awarded, through the subsidiary Tesmec Service, a €14.15 million contract in the railway sector in France. The end customer is the SNCF - Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Français group, which has assigned the work of regeneration of the overhead contact line between the railway stations of Paris Austerlitz and Bretigny sur Orge, on C line of the RER network, to the RC2 consortium, consisting of TSO, Mobility, ETF, and Setec Ferroviaire - four of the most important French contractors in the sector. The Tesmec Group will work alongside the technical team of the RC2 consortium in vehicle design and in defining the work methodology, starting from the specifications of the tender, transforming them into technical solutions, as well as supplying a fleet of 9 vehicles. The SNCF project's goal is the complete regeneration of the railway line for a 30 km section starting by the replacement of the poles, shelves and the overhead contact lines on all the tracks (which develop from 4 to 8 lines). Construction which will start in January 2020 and will end in December 2023, with no interruption to  the operations of the C line of the RER network.
