The cultural season at the Italian Cultural Institute of Sydney starts again, with an evening dedicated to poetry. The occasion stems from a trip to Australia of the Piacenza poet Italo Testa, following an invitation as Visiting Professor by the University of NSW to coordinate a Philosophy conference on naturalism and society. The event will be held on January 31st at 18:00 at the IIC. Among the most recognised voices of new Italian poetry, Italo Testa will discuss his poetic work with Valentina Gosetti (University of New England) and Alice Loda (University of Technology) and will read texts from his latest collection, "L'indifferenza naturale" (Natural Indifference). Poet and philosopher, animator of journals of militant criticism and lit-blogs, Testa has several collections of poetry that have received numerous awards, including the Eugenio Montale award and the Dario Bellezza award.
