Lucia Chiarla and Giò di Sera are the two winners of the "Italian of the Year" award, organised by the Comites of Berlin, now in its twelfth edition. Every year, the Comites, the representative body of Italians abroad, confers the award to two Italians, a woman and a man who have contributed significantly to the promotion and enhancement of Italian culture and identity in the District of Berlin. This year's choice fell on two Italians who were able to give prestige to the Italian community through two important artistic and cultural projects. The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday March 28th from 19:00 at the Salone delle Feste of the Italian Embassy in Berlin, in the presence of the Italian Ambassador Luigi Mattiolo, the President of the Italian Cultural Institute Luigi Reitani, the President of Com.It.Es Berlin Simonetta Donà, as well as other important Italian and German figures and institutions. During the ceremony the two winners will be presented to the two winning works of the visual arts contest "A work for the Italian of the year": "Labor's Game # Beyond" by Marco Dalbosco and "Silence of water" by Andrea Mazzola.
