“WORKING HOLIDAYS” AGREEMENT SIGNED BY ITALY AND JAPAN

Tokyo - Luigi Maria Vignali, the Director General for Italian Citizens Abroad and Migration Policies at the Farnesina, and the Japanese Ambassador to Italy, Oe Hiroshi, this morning signed an Agreement on “Working Holidays” between Italy and Japan. The Agreement represents an important step in strengthening relations between the two Countries by promoting exchanges between their respective labor markets and the sharing of experiences and knowledge between Italian and Japanese youths. The one-year Working Holiday Visa enables citizens aged between 18 and 30 to stay in the two Countries for a period during which they will be able to perform a professional activity while holidaymaking: an excellent opportunity for Italian and Japanese youths to deepen their knowledge of the culture and language of the other Country and an important sign of the will to fully relaunch mobility.
