Daniela Appreciated by critics and audiences, Daniela lived for three years in Rotterdam, where she graduated cum laude at the Hogeschool voor Muziek. And in a few days she will be in concert in Brussels "Then I will stop in Tirana. It's always really exciting to perform abroad," says Daniela, who has been applauded in the most prestigious theaters in the world, proposing a "repertoire ranging from Bach to the twentieth century." Her performances, however, are a tribute to Alfonso Rendano, pianist and composer from Carolei, in the province of Cosenza. Daniela Roma has already recorded a world premiere of the Rendano's piano and soon she will release a second CD with the composer's unpublished works. Daniela tells with passion as she approached the world of music: "My father often took me with him to the University. I was just a kid but in his department I saw an upright piano that I enjoyed to try playing. I forced everyont to listen to me, and when i was eight i started to take proper lessons." "Today, fewer young people are close to classical music," tells the Italian piano player. "I have been teaching music in a secondary school in Carolei, and I realized that many teenagers say 'when I grow up I want to be a wag', and they are too much influenced by the talent shows. I believe, however, that we should educate them to listen to different music styles, from pop to jazz and debunking the classical music myth as an elite kind of music. WHO IS DANIELA ROMA
Daniela Rome graduated in piano with honors from the Conservatory "F. Torrefranca" of Vibo Valentia. She has participated in master classes with teachers such as Daniel Rivera, Nairi Grigorian, Gabriel Kwok, Choon-Mo Kang and Aquiles Delle Vigne at the Internationale Sommerakademie Universitat Mozarteum di Salisburgo in Salzburg. Winner of numerous competitions, she has performed solo and with chamber ensembles in prestigious theaters: the Wiener Saal - Mozarteum (Salzburg), Saal Theater - Orff Institute (Salzburg), Concertgebouw Jurriaanse Zaal - de Doelen (Rotterdam) , Konzertsaal-SchloB Frhonburg (Salzburg), Theatre Pedrotti (Pesaro), Adrmollo Hall - Palazzo Ducale and Palazzo Sani (Lucca), Theatre A.Rendano (Cosenza), Auditorium della Discoteca di Stato (Rome), and others. In occasion of the Messiaen study days , she performed "Visions de l'Amen" (First Piano) at the Muziek Zaal Codarts, University of Professional Education Rotterdam. For the laber Phoenix Classics she has recorded unpublished songs of Ferenc Liszt and of Alfonso Rendano. She has recorded the "Carnival of the Animals" by Saint Saens with the chamber ensemble of the Conservatory in Vibo Valentia for "Metis Film" of Monte Porzio. She is ranked among the most illustrious names in the region of Calabria. She graduated with highest honors from the University of Calabria, with a thesis on "The Synesthesia in Aleksandr Scriabin and Wassily Kandinsky." She graduated cum laude at the Hogeschool voor Muziek Rotterdam under the guidance of Aquiles Delle Vigne. She is the Artistic Director of the Cultural Association "Alfonso Rendano" of Carolei in the province of Cosenza.
