Italy-Morocco / Presentation of a pilot healthcare cooperation project

Rabat - As part of the Italy-Morocco healthcare cooperation, the pilot project “Mama Sofia Bridges the Gap in Care” was presented in Rabat and Casablanca. The initiative, part of the Mattei Plan for Africa, is promoted by the Mama Sofia Foundation under the auspices of the Italian Prime Minister's Office and realized through collaboration between top Italian research institutes and hospitals, including the Gaslini Institute of Genoa and technology companies Vexavit and Dedalus. The project aims to create a continuous monitoring system for individual physiological parameters using non-invasive, wearable, multi-parametric devices to develop a stable, sustainable, and advanced medical control system. The initiative's strength lies in its replicability. Models and “best practices” will be adapted to other remote areas successfully, tailored perfectly to local specific needs. This replicability will ensure the widespread dissemination of advanced technologies and the sharing of experiences, contributing to a global understanding of health issues to reshape the world. This initiative will enhance disease prevention through regular monitoring of parameters, enabling timely diagnoses and preventive interventions. (9colonne)
