Tunis - Sparkle, the leading international service provider in Italy and one of the top in the world, has signed an agreement with Tunisie Telecom, the historic telecommunications operator in Tunisia, to provide an international IP transit service using a new route from Sicily to Milan. The national and convergent operator Tunisie Telecom offers fixed and mobile telecommunications services, data centers, cloud services, IoT, and security management to more than six million subscribers, both businesses and individuals. According to the agreement, Sparkle will provide high-speed international Internet connectivity at its Point of Presence (PoP) in Milan, as well as dedicated capacity on Sparkle's cutting-edge new submarine cable in the Tyrrhenian Sea, from Palermo to Milan. Therefore, Tunisie Telecom becomes the first Tunisian operator to have a completely new and high-performance active route to Europe, ensuring the country full diversification, better performance, and the lowest latency compared to existing infrastructures.
