The "Counter Organized Crime" course conducted by the Italian bilateral military mission in Lebanon for the Lebanese Armed Forces concluded recently in Beirut. The objective of the course, carried out by a Mobile Training Team composed of instructors from the Carabinieri’s investigative units, was to outline general guidelines for conducting investigations through diversified operational methodologies useful for combating mafia-style organized crime, terrorism, and subversive activities. "The activities," reads a note from the Ministry of Defense, "were marked by the exchange of experiences, highlighting the importance of international cooperation as a means to establish, improve, and consolidate bilateral relations."
