SACE has approved its first Push Strategy operation in Benin by providing a guarantee for a €120 million loan to the Ministry of Finance of Benin. This initiative represents a significant step in developing commercial relations between Italy and Benin and further strengthens ties with Africa, in line with the Mattei Plan. The financing, provided by Natixis as the Agent Bank and Arranger, aims to support export opportunities for Italian companies in strategic sectors of the Mattei Plan in Africa, such as logistics infrastructure (ports and airports), energy (power and transmission), public services (healthcare, water, education), and agricultural machinery. SACE's intervention under the Push Strategy is designed to create new business opportunities through matchmaking events, thereby stimulating the economy of Benin and contributing to its social development by improving access to essential services.
