Italian military mission donates 500 food kits to Lebanese population

Beirut – The Italian bilateral military mission in Lebanon, led by Colonel Matteo Vitulano, has donated 500 "food kits" to the impoverished Lebanese population through the "Global General Trading" company, in close coordination with the Cimic Directorate of the Lebanese Armed Forces. In this particularly difficult period, marked by rising tensions between Hezbollah and the Israeli army, the Italian bilateral military mission in Lebanon continues to provide support to the local population, which has been severely affected by recent events. The donations were funded by national resources as part of civil-military cooperation efforts, in close collaboration with the Italian Army’s 7th Cimic Regiment, based in Motta di Livenza (Treviso). These initiatives are part of a broader plan to support local institutions and the most vulnerable segments of the population through the implementation of specific cooperation projects. All activities in Lebanon are conducted under the coordination and directives of the Joint Operations Headquarters (Covi), the high command of Defense responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing military operations, national and multinational joint exercises, and related activities.
