Viedma - SO.GE.MI S.p.A., the company that manages Milan's Food Market, and the government of Argentina's Río Negro Province have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at promoting and enhancing Argentine agri-food excellence within the market spaces. The agreement, signed by Sogemi President Cesare Ferrero and the Governor of Río Negro Province, Alberto Edgardo Weretilneck, will last for two years and establishes a framework for collaboration to strengthen commercial ties between Argentina and Italy, with particular attention to promoting products from the province of Río Negro. Also present at the signing ceremony was the Argentine Consulate General and Promotion Center in Milan, the driving force behind this agreement, with the participation of Consul General Luis Niscovolos. Among the planned activities, the agreement aims to showcase Argentine excellence at the Milan Food Market through promotional events and dedicated exhibition spaces, fostering trade exchanges and synergies between producers and importers. Furthermore, this memorandum promotes sustainable practices within the agri-food supply chain, ensuring increasingly high-quality products that meet today's consumer demand for fresh and sustainable goods. "Argentina," said Ferrero, "is an important commercial partner for us; developing this agreement means becoming an increasingly open food hub in dialogue with the market." (9colonne)
