From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
Two days to discover and taste Kenyan coffee while offering African producers the opportunity to strengthen relationships with Italian operators. The event takes place at Sigep, the International Trade Show of Artisan Gelato, Pastry, Bakery, and Coffee, currently underway at the Rimini Exhibition Centre. The initiative, called “Arabika,” is supported by Italy through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation. Seven representatives from Kenyan coffee producer cooperatives are attending the fair and have visited a roasting facility near Bologna to learn about Italian technologies and operational standards in the sector.
Additionally, two events are scheduled at the fair: a guided tasting session (January 20, from 4:00 to 4:45 PM at the "Sustainability District"), where origin brands developed with Italian support will also be presented, and a high-level event focused on Italy's collaboration with partner countries (January 21, from 11:00 to 11:30 AM at the "Vision Plaza"). The latter will feature the participation of AICS Director Marco Riccardo Rusconi, ICE Director Lorenzo Galanti, and the Agricultural Attaché of the Kenyan Embassy in Italy, Anthony Muriithi.
