Fabrizio Paterlini reimagines Grunge:

On March 21, Attitude, the new grunge cover album by Fabrizio Paterlini, will be released digitally. One of the most renowned and internationally acclaimed Italian pianists, Paterlini continues to surprise audiences with his timeless and emotionally powerful music.

Attitude is a journey through the greatest masterpieces of grunge music—an album of covers paying tribute to the intensity and depth of legendary bands like Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains, while also honoring the elegance and strength of Italian artists such as Marlene Kuntz, Verdena, and Elisa.

“The idea behind Attitude is not just to pay homage to a musical genre—grunge—but to celebrate an attitude,” says Paterlini. “Grunge had an impact on me in my twenties, but it wasn’t the only sound that defined my passion for music. What has always fascinated me is that raw emotional drive, that urgency to express something real, without filters. Attitude is my way of reinterpreting some of the songs that shaped me during those years, bringing them into my world while preserving their essence.”

With over 15 years of career and tours that have taken him across the globe—from the United States to China—Paterlini has built a solid reputation, confirmed by his 2.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. A remarkable number for a pianist, placing him alongside composers such as Ludovico Einaudi and Ólafur Arnalds. In 2024, his total streams on digital platforms reached 259 million. His audience is primarily from the United States, Germany, France, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.
