Italian language in the spotlight: Le D.I.V.E. prize for local educators

Washington – Applications are open until July 1, 2025, for the Le D.I.V.E. Award, organized by Le D.I.V.E. (Italian Women Living Abroad), a non-profit association officially established in Washington, D.C., in 2001. The organization’s mission includes promoting the Italian language and culture abroad. The award honors one or more Italian language teachers in public high schools in the Washington metropolitan area. Funded through donations and charitable events organized by Le D.I.V.E., the prize ranges from $500 to $1,000 and aims to support school activities or professional development in Italian language instruction. Applications will be reviewed by a committee composed of at least three D.I.V.E. members and Italian language teachers. Winners will be announced in September 2025. (9colonne)
