Point Pleasant – Francesco De Carlo, one of the most acclaimed names in stand-up comedy, is headed to the United States for Live in America, an eight-show tour kicking off this September.
He will become the first Italian comedian to tour the US with an English-language show. The tour starts in Point Pleasant, NJ (Sept. 12–13), then heads to Hoboken, NJ (Sept. 14), Buffalo, NY (Sept. 16), Syracuse, NY (Sept. 17), Albany, NY (Sept. 18), Philadelphia, PA (Sept. 23), and Stamford, CT (Sept. 24).
De Carlo has already made a name for himself internationally, becoming the first Italian to perform at the iconic Comedy Cellar in New York. He has opened for comedian Matteo Lane at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall, and joined Lane’s European and US tour, bringing Italian humor to new audiences.
“Performing in American comedy clubs is thrilling,” says De Carlo. “It’s like playing in the major leagues, where the world’s top comedians perform. The audience has probably never seen an Italian doing stand-up in English—so I’m curious to see their reactions. And also to see how they cook.”
