From Naples to Bucharest: a musical tribute with Serena Autieri

Naples is synonymous with talent and harmony—a city that blends diverse experiences, sensitivities, and languages through its openness to other cultures. With the extraordinary voice of Serena Autieri and a selection of Neapolitan, Italian, and international classics, we are celebrating here in Bucharest the 2,500th anniversary of the founding of the city with a very special concert.”

With these words, the Italian Ambassador to Bucharest, Alfredo Durante Mangoni, welcomed the audience at the Luceafărul Concert Hall on June 19 to Voglio vivere così, a special concert by Serena Autieri.

The renowned singer performed an elegant and wide-ranging repertoire of Neapolitan songs along with iconic pieces from Italian and international popular music. She was accompanied on piano by Maestro Vincenzo Campagnoli and an exceptional ensemble of musicians: Antonello Buonocore on bass, Carlo Feola on keyboards, Claudio Romano on guitar, and Antonio Muto on drums.

The event was organized by the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute in celebration of the 2,500th anniversary of the founding of Naples.

As part of her Romanian tour, Autieri appeared in two live interviews: the first with Bogdan Stănescu, host of the prime-time TV program Jurnal Cultural on the public broadcaster TVR; and the second on Oraşul vorbeşte ("The City Speaks") on Radio România Cultural, hosted by Daria Ghiu.
