“Tivoli and Denmark share a long-standing connection, dating back to the opening of the world-renowned Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen on August 15, 1843,” said Marco Innocenzi, mayor of Tivoli, Italy, during a recent meeting with Danish Ambassador Peter Taksøe-Jensen and his wife Gitte Wallin Pedersen at Palazzo San Bernardino. Mayor Innocenzi highlighted the cultural and historical bonds between the two locations, mentioning Parco Andersen—a local park named after the famed Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, whose fairy tales have inspired generations of children. “I was proud to show them the beauty of our territory, from Villa d’Este to Villa Adriana, and the charm of our medieval town center,” the mayor said. “These timeless treasures continue to attract visitors from all over the world and are a great source of pride for all Tiburtini.”
