Aterballetto pays dance tribute to Ennio Morricone in Madrid

Madrid – After a widely praised tour across Spain, the Italian contemporary dance company CCN/Aterballetto is closing in style with two special performances in Madrid. The events are part of Veranos de la Villa, the city’s flagship summer arts festival organized by the Ayuntamiento de Madrid. Now in its 41st edition, the festival features a multidisciplinary program that animates the capital’s most iconic spaces.
The highlight of Aterballetto’s final stop is Notte Morricone, a tribute to the timeless music of Ennio Morricone. More than just a dance performance, it’s an immersive, multisensory experience that blends choreography, technology, and cinematic soundscapes.
The shows will take place on July 17 and 18 at the Centro Danza Matadero, within the renowned Matadero Madrid complex – a venue synonymous with cutting-edge artistic creation. The event celebrates not only Morricone’s enduring legacy, but also the vibrancy of contemporary Italian dance on the international stage.
