San José – Divorce Italian Style, Seduced and Abandoned, The Railroad Man, and The Birds, the Bees and the Italians: the most iconic works directed by Pietro Germi will be featured in a special retrospective organized by the Embassy of Italy in San José in collaboration with the Costa Rican Film Center.

The screenings will take place from September 24 to 27 at the Centro de Cine in San José. Each film will be introduced by well-known film critic Mario Giacomelli, who will guide audiences through Germi’s style and cultural impact.

The program opens on Wednesday, September 24 at 6:30 p.m. with a welcome drink, followed by the screening of The Railroad Man at 7 p.m. The series continues on Thursday, September 25 with Divorce Italian Style, Friday, September 26 with Seduced and Abandoned, and Saturday, September 27 with The Birds, the Bees and the Italians.
