Bratislava – The publishing house Literárna bašta, together with the Italian Cultural Institute in Bratislava, will host on September 25 an evening dedicated to two new Slovak translations of Italian literature: Oriana Fallaci’s Letter to a Child Never Born and Dino Buzzati’s Dear Sir, We Regret to Inform You….
Buzzati, already well known to Slovak readers through The Tartar Steppe (translated by Michaela Jurovská in 1977) and Seven Floors (translated by Stanislav Vallo in 2001), will once again be at the center of discussion. Translator Stanislav Vallo will speak about the book and its author, in a conversation moderated by writer Michal Tallo. The event will be held at Rómerov dom at 6 pm.
