Ankara concert blends Italian music and archaeology

The third season of the concert series Müzede Müzik – İtalyan Ezgileri (Music at the Museum – Italian Melodies) opens on September 24 at 8 pm at the Erimtan Archaeology and Art Museum. The program, presented by the Italian Cultural Institute in Istanbul in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Ankara, blends Italian musical tradition with the evocative setting of art and archaeology.
The opening concert features two rising Italian talents: cellist Eleonora Testa and pianist Francesco Maria Navelli, selected within the Young Italian Musical Talents Abroad 2025 initiative, promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with CIDIM and the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena.
Their program takes the audience on a refined journey through works by Martucci, Corghi, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Pärt, and Debussy, combining Italian tradition with an international perspective.
