Agustina Ferreyra wins Festival of Italian Music in Argentina

With a sold-out evening at the Metro Theater in La Plata, the eighth edition of the Festival of Italian Music came to a close, crowning Agustina Ferreyra as the winner.
The artist from Buenos Aires impressed the jury with a moving rendition of “Grande amore” by Il Volo, earning first place among 128 participants from across Argentina.
Ferreyra will represent Argentina in Rome this May during the international event Italia Argentina Canta in Festival, also taking part in cultural activities and a meeting at Parliament.
Second place went to Morella Reolón Oliva (Córdoba) with “Sempre” by Lisa, while Gabriela Cozzarini (Berazategui) placed third with “Arriverà l’amore.”
The jury, chaired by artist Odino Faccia, included Giorgio Luna and Maite Urbiztondo.
The event’s program featured classic Italian songs performed by young talents, paying homage to the deep musical connection between Italy and Argentina.
Now one of the country’s most prominent cultural events, the festival was organized by the Italy–Argentina Territorial Coordination Agency and offered a high-level show inspired by the Sanremo Festival.
“In times of crisis like these,” said Nicolás Moretti, Director General of the Italy–Argentina Territorial Coordination Agency, “music becomes our refuge, uplifting our spirits and filling us with joy and hope.”
