Itabus expands across Europe, adding France and Spain to its network

Paris – Itabus, the long-distance coach company that is part of the Italo Group, is continuing its strong international growth strategy. After launching its first routes abroad to Ljubljana, Zagreb, Chambéry and Lyon, and introducing services to Austria and Switzerland in October, the company is now expanding into new European markets.
From December 4, Itabus will begin operating routes to Paris, with four daily connections (two available immediately and two more starting December 18). New services will also connect Italy with Barcelona (two trips per day), Grenoble (two daily services), Perpignan (two connections per day) and Montpellier (two daily services).
With these additions, Spain officially becomes part of the Itabus international network, while France sees a significant strengthening of connections with four new destinations. The new international routes will link major Italian cities including Turin, Milan, Venice, Verona and Padua, as well as Bergamo’s Orio al Serio Airport.
Existing foreign destinations will also benefit from service upgrades. Connections to Lyon and Chambéry will double from four to eight trips per day and will now include new Italian cities such as Venice, Verona and Padua, in addition to Bergamo Airport. Currently, these locations are already reachable from Turin, Milan, Bologna, Florence, Rome, Caserta and Naples.
Itabus is also investing heavily in domestic routes. On the Turin–Milan–Venice corridor, daily services will increase from four to ten. Additionally, two new daily routes will link Trieste with Milan, Turin, Verona, Venice and Orio al Serio Airport, supplementing four existing services to southern and central Italy.
“We are continuing the international expansion of our network as planned and strengthening our presence across Italy,” said Francesco Fiore, CEO of Itabus. “Connecting Italy with cities like Paris and Barcelona marks an important step in our growth strategy.”
