Madrid – To celebrate World Italian Cinema Day, the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid will host a screening of the film “Anna” on January 20 at 7:30 p.m. Directed by and starring Monica Guerritore, the film honors the timeless Italian actress Anna Magnani.
Through the eyes of Anna Magnani, portrayed by Guerritore, and those of the young Carol Levi - her future agent and confidante- the film retraces the pivotal moments of Magnani’s life and career: her clashes with Cinecittà, her passionate relationships, her return to the theater, and a love that, despite everything, never truly left her.
