June 7 – The Alitalia MilleMiglia Program has received a prestigious award at the Freddie Awards, the Oscars of frequent flyer programs. Customers of all airlines vote, divided by continent. The awards ceremony, held in Washington at the headquarters of the USA Today newspaper, saw the MilleMiglia Program qualify in the top positions in: program of the year, best promotion (for its multi-bonus initiative rewarding frequent flyers), best customer service, best elite program (for the exclusive clubs: Freccia Alata Plus, Freccia Alata and Ulysses), best redemption ability (for the award tickets’ management), and best loyalty credit card (for the Alitalia American Express card). "This result rewards the extraordinary work done in recent years to provide customers with a program packed with excellent services and benefits - said Alfio Messina, Director of Alitalia Loyalty, the new Alitalia Group dedicated to MilleMiglia’s development - We beat companies much bigger than ours, with a wider customer base. We’ve improved the new 2013-2015 program and at the next Freddie Awards we are aiming for an even better result."

CASH & MILES

Among the novelties of the new MilleMiglia 2013-2015 Program, the most important is Cash & Miles. An exclusive service that allows customers to discount up to 25% of their ticket price. Without limitation, the MilleMiglia member can now directly choose on the site alitalia.com the mix of cash and miles he or she desires to pay for the airline ticket. Alitalia is one of the few airlines in the world to offer this service.
