Three Italian startups selected by the EIC accelerator

Brussels – Italy’s space ecosystem is strengthening its role within the European innovation and technology development landscape. Three startups supported by the Italian Space Agency have been selected in the latest call of the European Innovation Council Accelerator, a program promoted by the European Commission. The EIC Accelerator supports small and medium-sized enterprises and startups developing innovative technologies with strong market growth potential. The program provides both non-dilutive grants and equity investments, helping companies expand at the European and international levels. The selected startups are Involve Space (development and operation of AI-equipped stratospheric balloons), Adaptronics (development of electroadhesion-based robotic gripping solutions), and Fluid Wire Robotics (design of robotic manipulators for extreme environments, including nuclear, space, and underwater settings). All three companies have been supported by the Italian Space Agency throughout their growth process through various startup support instruments promoted and funded by the Agency. Out of nearly one thousand applications from across Europe, only 61 companies were selected for funding. (9colonne)
