Seminar in Argentina on “economy, human rights and the new global order”

La Plata – The Italy-Argentina Productive, Tourism and Cultural Corridor has announced the international seminar “Economy, Human Rights and the International Order in Danger: Challenges and Opportunities between Italy and Argentina,” scheduled for Tuesday, May 12 at 6 p.m. in La Plata at the Auditorium of the annex building of the Chamber of Deputies. The meeting is conceived “as a space for debate,” the organizers explain, “in light of the current international situation, with the aim of promoting proposals and models of resistance against economic systems that prioritize capital accumulation over human rights”. The seminar is mainly organized by the Secretariat for Modernization of the Chamber of Deputies of the Province of Buenos Aires and the UNESCO Chair on Economic Systems and Human Rights of the UNLP. The event also benefits from the strategic collaboration of Ipac – the Provincial Institute of Associativism and Cooperativism, the National University of La Plata, Sapienza University of Rome, the University of Quilmes, and the Territorial Coordination Agency of the Italy-Argentina Productive Tourism and Cultural Corridor – Actia, directed by Nicolás Moretti. The event will feature a panel of experts and authorities who will address the topic from different institutional and academic perspectives as part of a broader program of activities. Following opening remarks by Raúl Cadaa, Secretary for Modernization of the Provincial Chamber of Deputies, and Javier Mor Roig, Secretary for Institutional Relations of UNLP, speakers moderated by Francesco Vigliarolo, Director of the UNESCO Chair on Economic Systems and Human Rights at UNLP, will include Gildo Onorato, President of the Provincial Institute of Associations and Cooperatives; Donatella Strangio, professor at Sapienza University of Rome; Cintia Russo, professor at the University of Quilmes; and Nicolás Moretti.
