(19 September 2016) What better occasion than the European day of Languages to introduce the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation network’s role in promoting Italian language and culture? Every 24th of September, the Italian Cultural Institute of Saint Petersburg, in collaboration with EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) will present their scheduled activities for the “Discover your Europe at the Hermitage”. The institute will distribute information on activities and events that will take place in autumn and brochures on Italian language courses in Saint Petersburg and in Italy, on enrolment procedures for Italian universities and on Italian language certifications (Cils). Furthermore, teachers rom the Centro di Lingua e Cultura Italiana will conduct an Italian lesson for beginners and one on Italian language and cinema. (Red)

The Italian Cultural Institute of Saint Petersburg was established on the 1st of January, 1999 as a department of the Italian Institute of Culture of Moscow. The Saint Petersburg Institute was initiated in 2003 for the the 300th anniversary of the creation of the city. The Institute is located within the consular building and contains a multimedia room.
