About 11 million men, women and children affected by the violence erupted with the birth of the Nigerian terrorist group Boko Haram, a conflict that, since 2014, has had a tragic domino effect, creating 2.4 million displaced people and putting 5 million people at risk of food insecurity and 3 million children outside the school system. A photographic exhibition by the Chadian photographer Abdoulaye Barry on "The peoples of Lake Chad. A humanitarian crisis seen from the inside" will be showcased at the Pigorini National Museum in Rome to document this often forgotten crisis until January 13th, realised by Coopi and Vita. In Nigeria, Niger, Chad, and Cameroon - four countries involved in this emergency -that Coopi in which committed to supporting hundreds of thousands of displaced, refugees and local communities, through multi-sector humanitarian assistance projects, from health education up to food security, projects that can bear fruit thanks to funding from the Italian Development Cooperation Agency.
