Italy-Russia: in search <br> of talents for translations 

(4 December 2018) Italy has decided to set up a new prize for translators of literary works.  This was reported to the Russian information agency TASS Paola Passarelli, Director General of the Department of Libraries and Cultural Institutions of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities of Italy at the conclusion of the Italian Non / fiction literature fair in Moscow from November 28th to December 2nd. "We've decided to set up a prize for the best Italian to Russian translation and Russian to Italian. The growth of the quality of translation is a very important thing that will contribute to the development of relations in the field of publishing and literature". The president of the Association of Italian Publishers (AIE), Ricardo Franco Levi, said that many of the books presented at the exhibition will soon be translated into Russian.  The director of the IEA, Lorenzon recalled how the 12 Italian publishers during the show had about 250 encounters with Russian colleagues. The Italian participation in the fair was made possible by the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, the Italian Embassy, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry for Cultural Assets and Activities of Italy, ICE, Italian Institute of Culture in Moscow, and IEA.
