From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
(6 December 2018) On the occasion of the photo exhibition Matera Immaginata / Matera Imagined - at the Italian Institute of culture in New York from November 13 to December 18th - there will be a round table discussion on December 12th at the IIC with Lindsay Harris, Emmet Gowin, M Antonella Pelizzari, and Emma Blake. These are scholars, in different fields, whose work has dealt with the unique landscape and history of Matera. The discussion focuses on the relationship between photography and place, posing questions such as: how does photography contribute to the definition of the landscape image? How can images influence the course of modernity? How does myth and history merge or diverge through photography? How do Matera and the Italian landscape highlight these relationships?
