(6 December 2018) "Italy and Japan. New challenges for geopolitics" is the title of the round table on December 11th at the Italian Institute of Culture in Tokyo. The event, organised by the IIC and the Italian Embassy in Japan, with the contribution of the Italian geopolitical journal Limes, aims to compare the two countries by examining some aspects of the current geopolitical situation and their possible synergies, in response to the challenges of the current environment. Thanks to the presence of Italian and Japanese experts, the debate will focus on some of the main issues that are traditionally at the centre of the diplomatic interests of Tokyo and Rome, developing a confrontation on the background of the reconfiguration of global economic geography induced by the recent free trade agreements. Among other speakers are Giorgio Starace, Italian Ambassador to Japan and Lucio Caracciolo, founder and Director in charge of the Limes magazine.
