Cinema: The longest day <br> of the year arrives

(6 December 2018) December 21st is the shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere and the short film is celebrated all over the world.  The initiative, promoted in France in 2011 by the Centre National de la Cinématographie et de l'Image Animée, has spread rapidly throughout Europe and today reaches more than fifty countries in the world. The idea is to offer a window on the world of short films.  The Italian Institute of Culture in Istanbul proposes a programme of recently produced Italian short films. A selection of different genres and formats, able to give an idea of where young Italian cinema is going and what will tomorrow's trends be. The IIC will screen 5 Italian short films, part of the programme of the International Festival, on December 21st at 17.00 in the Teatro della Casa d'Italia. Films shown will be "Il cuore nel Cassetto" by Roberto Leoni, "Actus Reus" by Julian Grass, "Sulla soglia" by Riccardo Festa, "L'avenir" by Luigi Pane, and "La Quiete" by Gabriele Galli.
